Self-directed
An ongoing set of hard-surface product studies. Each one is modelled from reference first and shaded second, and this is what the set looks like part-way through rather than at the end.
Clean topology is a technical audit as much as a modelling one: edge flow, poly efficiency, and how support loops and transitions are handled under subdivision.
The wire-renders are stylized to blend into the model forms.
Clay strips away material and texture so silhouette, proportion, and surface continuity have to stand on their own — pinching, lumpy transitions, and wobbly bevels have nowhere to hide.
Where a clay model stops looking like clay.
Render control shown through the pass breakdown itself — AO, albedo, specular, depth, and ID masks — proof the final look is graded, not baked in.
